Pole barn electrical cost
Electrical work ranges from a basic lighting and outlet package to shop-grade service. BarnCost starts with none versus basic electrical so the option can expand without rewriting the data model.
What “basic electrical” means here
In V1, basic electrical is a placeholder package: service, lighting, and general-purpose outlets at a documented unit basis once pricing exists. It is not a full shop build-out, welders, compressors, or three-phase service.
The electrical option is structured so additional packages can be added later without changing calculator configuration shape.
Utility extensions are separate
Running power from the road or upgrading a transformer is site-specific and is excluded from BarnCost estimates until there is a documented, separable component for it.
